Clue Trivia Challenge #1 : Answer

Time for the answer to Clue Trivia challenge #1. To review:
The question was:

Only one of the three multiple endings is possible. Which ending is that?

Most votes voted for: Ending A (Scarlet)

Were you right? Yes. Ending A (Scarlet) was the correct answer. There is a small flaw in the peacock ending. Supposedly, Mrs. Peacock was the one who turned off the electricity. Yet the camera shows her in dark,in the basement beating up a pipe with her handbag. This meant that she would have had to run upstairs, turn off the elctricity, run back downstairs, run back upstairs, and commited three murders. This would be completely pointless and it would accomplish nothing. It wouldn't make any sense.

There is a much more well-known flaw involving Ending C (Everyone). While Yvette runs downstairs to meet her killer, Mrs. White screams from upstairs. yet it was supposedly Mrs. White who killed Yvette. Mrs. White shouldn't have arrived in the room before Yvette.

Secrets and Spies

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I'm in middle school now, so I'm really busy with homework, even on weekends. Anyway, I recently visited Target and noticed that there is a new version of Clue out there: Clue - Secrets and Spies. In this version, every suspect is a spy trying to capture the nefarious Agent Black. He is no longer murdered in this version, but he is your enemy. Also, it seems like Secrets and Spies uses texting in some way. Clue using texting. That doesn't seem right somehow. However, I don't quite know how this varies from regular Clue. I think I might buy it. If I do, I will be sure to explain it to you.

Clue The Movie Ideas

I've been having ideas about putting on a production on Clue the Movie. I mean, it seems to be a cool idea. I have the script. I have friends to act it out. I have materials to make costumes and props. So why not?

So anyway, at first I thought that it would be cool to make a play version. But it is really hard to transfer a movie into a stage production, so I decided against that. But why not make another film version? I mean, it would be fun. It might cost some money, but hopefully most of the needed costumes and props can be found in my house or the houses of my friends.

There is no way that my house is big enough to act as the mansion, but perhaps we could film it in several different houses, depending on which rooms they have.

If I decide to make another film of Clue, I will post the date and time of auditions. Please comment and tell me what you think.

Clue Trivia Corner #1

Hello, it's Silas Jones. I've decided to add a new feature on this blog, the Clue Trivia Corner. Once a month, I will ask you a question that's clue-related in a post and it will be your job to vote on the poll in the corner. I'ts kind of like a test. Please keep in mind that I will not be voting, so don't base your response on the results of the poll. I will post the answer to each question once the poll is closed.
So anyway, this month the poll question is the following:

Only one of the three multiple endings is possible. Which ending is that?

Vote wisely and have fun.

Candy Land The Movie

Clue the Movie - Good Idea. Clue The Remake - Bad Idea.
Candy Land the Movie - What!!!

Why would someone want to make a movie out of Candy Land, the children's game about racing around the board and reaching the end to rescue King Kandy, who has been kidnapped by the evil Lord Licorice. I honestly don't know why anyone would choose to make a movie out of Candy Land, but it might be successful. Who knows how many kids will get their parents to take them to see Princess Lolly dance through the forest on the big screen. Anyway, the movie will be directed by Kevin Lima, who brought us "Enchanted" and the script will be written by Etan Cohen. I will keep you posted.

Sh-Boom

As I have already mentioned, there are two songs in Clue, Sh-Boom and Shake, Rattle, and Roll. Here are the lyrics to Sh-Boom.

Hey nonny ding dong, alang alang alang
Boom ba-doh, ba-doo ba-doodle-ay

Oh, life could be a dream (sh-boom)
If I could take you up in paradise up above (sh-boom)
If you would tell me I'm the only one that you love
Life could be a dream, sweetheart
(Hello, hello again, sh-boom and hopin' we'll meet again)

Oh, life could be a dream (sh-boom)
If only all my precious plans would come true (sh-boom)
If you would let me spend my whole life lovin' you
Life could be a dream, sweetheart

Now every time I look at you
Something is on my mind (dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-duh)
If you do what I want you to
Baby, we'd be so fine!

Oh, life could be a dream (sh-boom)
If I could take you up in paradise up above (sh-boom)
If you would tell me I'm the only one that you love
Life could be a dream, sweetheart

Sh-boom sh-boom Ya-da-da Da-da-da Da-da-da Da
Sh-boom sh-boom Ya-da-da Da-da-da Da-da-da Da
Sh-boom sh-boom Ya-da-da Da-da-da Da-da-da Da, sh-boom!

Sh-boom sh-boom Ya-da-da Da-da-da Da-da-da Da
Sh-boom sh-boom Ya-da-da Da-da-da Da-da-da Da
Sh-boom sh-boom Ya-da-da Da-da-da Da-da-da Da, sh-boom!

Every time I look at you
Somethin' is on my mind
If you do what I want you to
Baby, we'd be so fine!

Life could be a dream
If I could take you up in paradise up above
If you would tell me I'm the only one that you love
Life could be a dream, sweetheart
(Hello hello again, sh-boom and hopin' we'll meet again) boom sh-boom

Hey nonny ding dong, alang alang alang (sh-boom)
Ba-doh, ba-doo ba-doodle-ay
Life could be a dream
Life could be a dream, sweetheart!

Life could be a dream
If only all my precious plans would come true
If you would let me spend my whole life loving you
Life could be a dream, sweetheart

(dee-oody-ooh, sh-boom, sh-boom)
(dee-oody-ooh, sh-boom, sh-boom)

Clue The Remake

Sure, plenty of films deserve remakes. I've been disappointed with quite a few films that actually had potential. But, for those of you who don't know, Gore Verbinski will be making a remake of Clue. I'm sure that this is a very bad idea. I mean , I know that Clue wasn't a very big success. But it is impossible to beat the cast or the script. There is no way that any actor could be a better Wadsworth than Tim Curry or a better Mrs. Pecock than Eileen Brennan. The cast worked together so well and really seemed to be into the parts they played. I mean, do you remember:

Plum: What are you afraid of, a fate worse than death?

Peacock: No just death. Isn't that enough?

And Madeline Kahn's Flames on the Side of my Face line is unforgettable. No matter how good the new Clue is, it will always have to live in the original Clue's shadow. Enough said.

Also, how good will it be? I think that it will suck. Well, Gore will have to work hard to meet the expectations. Can he do it? I think not.

Verbinski

Clue Credits

Clue the movie has some amazing music. I've had Sh-Boom (Life Could be a Dream) going through my head ever since I first heard in in the movie. However, here are the ending credits, with Shake, Rattle, and Roll, the only other song in the movie, in the background.

Peacock Pictures

Crazy Mrs. Peacock. My favorite Clue character of all time. I don't know why, but I really like her. I especially like the way she is depicted in the movie by Eileen Brennan. But Mrs. P has really changed over time. Here she is on several cards.

Here are some pictures of Peacock in the movie.

I hope you liked these pictures. Maybe I will post pictures of some of the other suspects.

Clue - Discover The Secrets

I've been playing Clue - Discover The Secrets online today. This computer game is different from the board game that I know and love. Anyway I had fun, although Cornel Mustard is no longer a cornel, Professor Plum isn't a professor, and Mrs. White isn't a maid. The weapons and the rooms are different as well. They seem to want to appeal to the "hip" generation, by having the characters be more modern.

Here is review of Clue - Discover The Secrets:

Here is a complete list of all of the weapons, rooms, and suspects in the new version.

Suspects

Jack Mustard

Once the most sought after celebrity football player, age has finally caught up to him; now a sports announcer relying on his failing good looks and popularity. His stories are larger than life but how much longer will his fame last? He will not resign himself to becoming an unknown.

Diane White

Living in the shadow of her childhood acting fame she is constantly reminding others of her past success, White has found it difficult to move on. She tries hard not to take others' lack of appreciation personally and she'll be the first to tell you "My day will come, one way or the other."

Victor Plum

A self-made video-game design billionaire, that moved out of the dingy basement and into a life of luxury. Now part of the "In Crowd," he questions his new friends' intentions. But hey, let's face it, attention is good no matter where it's coming from… and he's going to make the most of it while it lasts.

Eleanor Peacock

Coming from a wealthy family of politicians, she's known to raise money for any cause as long as she is in the spotlight. She appears calm, cool and collected at all times - ordering her assistants to do her dirty work. She is very concerned with proper behavior...Forgetting to put your napkin in your lap at one of her dinner parties could be a "deadly" mistake.

Kasandra Scarlet

She is at the center of every social event and is the hottest star on the movie scene. She has the attention of all the celebrity magazines. Her biggest fear is that the press will uncover the shady things she did to claw her way to the top.

Jacob Green

Need help with connections, getting noticed, getting ahead... Green is the man on the scene with all the ins; although nobody is really sure how he gets it all done. But keep in mind, nothing comes for free and you can be sure that someday you'll get a call from him cashing in on all those favors.

Weapons

Knife

Razor-sharp and deadly in the wrong hands.

Candlestick

Ornate, dramatic, and very heavy. When hefted in anger, who knows what it could do.

Pistol

No one will hear a thing with the silencer attached.

Poison

Easy to administer and difficult to trace. Could this be the weapon of choice.

Trophy

Lots of sharp corners are able to do damage on this commemorative piece.

Rope

As easy to hide as it is to use.

Axe

Not subtle, but brutally effective.

Dumbbell

Exorcising demons wasn't part of the plan when this was made...

Rooms

Hall

Walk through an incredible hall, perfect for welcoming guests to a deadly party.

Dining Room

Dine in a banquet-size dining room, perfect for hosting the likes of Plum, Mustard, Peacock, Scarlet, White, and Green.

Kitchen

Eat in a state-of-the-art kitchen with a mysterious secret passage.

Patio

Lounge in a spacious patio complete with luxurious chaise sun chairs.

Observatory

Gaze at the stars in the observatory full of leather bond books.

Theater

Enjoy a movie in the 20-seat projection-style movie theater.

Living Room

When you're ready to get away from flashing cameras

Spa

Swim in a hot tub big enough for the entire party in the spa.

Guest House

Crash in luxury in a beautifully appointed guest house.

Those Who Die By The Gun

Ever since I read the first draft script of Clue, this song has been, forming in my head. At the end of the first ending, The Chief says the following line:

CHIEF: I got her. She who lives by the gun, dies by the gun.

This line intrigued me. And, before to long, the following song had formed in my head.

Those Who Live By The Gun

Those who live by the gun, die by the gun, (die by the gun)

Those who live in the sky, die in the sun!

Those who murder for their pointless greed,

Will be paid for their dastardly deed,

Those who live by the gun, they die by the gun!

Those who live in the sky, die in the sky, (die in the sky)

Those with any sense don’t reason why!

Cause the earth is a spherical,

Authentic miracle,

Those who live in the sky, they die in the sky.

Those who live on this earth, die on this earth, (die on this earth)

Cause nobody’s been perfect since the first birth!

That’s why we must all stick together,

Though our causalities cease not ever,

Cause those who live on this earth,

Those who live on this earth,

Those who live on this earth, they die on this earth!

And those who live by the gun,

Those who live by the sun,

Those who live by the gun,

They die by the gun!

Title Sequence

'Ere is a title sequence for ze movie. I like eet, but eet zey refer to me as "ze maid" and zey misspelled Christopher Lloyd and Michael McKean.
